KRYSTIE IZZO

LMHC

Krystie is passionate about helping parents in their parenting journey. Raising children is wonderful and overwhelming all at the same time. In a non-judgemental safe space, clients are able to receive the support and guidance they need for the ups and downs or parenthood, marriage, and life transitions.  She has a passion for holistic modalities and incorporates self care, meditations and spirituality into her work. 

Krystie is the owner of Tree of Life. She has experience working at RUMC, Children's aid society and has been a lecturer at CUNY CSI and St. John's university. 

 

Outside of being a therapist, you can find her on her own motherhood journey to two little ones. A native Staten Islander who loves hiking, being in nature and traveling.

SAMANTHA SOUTHARD

MHC-LP

Samantha is a caring therapist who is great at working with children, teens, and young adults. She offers creative approaches to keep her clients engaged through talk and play therapy that utilize components of Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Utilizing play therapy techniques via art activities, sand tray therapy, and play therapy her clients love coming to sessions.

JACQUELINE BAUDANZA

MHC - Intern

Jacqueline is a master's level clinician who has joined the Tree of Life MHC Team, through our collaboration with CUNY CSI's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Through this partnership, Jacqueline is able to provide low-fee, high-quality counseling services to the Staten Island community.

Jacqueline is an empathetic and caring counselor-in-training who works with children, teens, and young adults. She uses components of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy to serve her clients in genuine and creative ways.

ATHANASIA MAZINOVA

MHC - Intern

Athanasia is a master's level clinician who has joined the Tree of Life MHC Team, through our collaboration with CUNY CSI's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Through this partnership, Athanasia is able to provide low-fee, high-quality counseling services to the Staten Island community.

 

Athanasia has experience working with individuals (ages 3-21) who are on the Autism Spectrum as a behavioral technician and teaching assistant. As a counselor-in-training, she offers sessions to children, adolescents, and adults using a combination of theoretical approaches that place an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
